Guide For Authors

1. Aims and scope

This journal is concerned with new ideas and achievements on underground space development and utilization at home and abroad, and scientific and technological issues of underground and related geotechnical engineering. It provides an opportunity for the publication of research papers or engineering examples about regulations, survey, planning, design, construction, monitoring, environment, disaster prevention and management related to the development and utilization of underground space. Engineering examples require a new height in scale, difficulty or comprehensive application of technology. The characteristic columns mainly include: the development and utilization of underground space, theoretical and experimental research, design, construction and monitoring, and disaster prevention and environment.

2. Manuscript requirements and attention items

(1) The manuscript should not been published by the author, and no multiple submissions are allowed. Before submission, please carefully fill in the relevant information of each author and ensure that all authors' information is right and valid. The number of authors is generally not more than five, and the authors' information, especially the authors' order, must not be arbitrarily changed. While uploading the manuscript documents, please be sure to upload the copyright agreement (in PDF or picture) signed by all the authors.

(2) The number of the manuscript title words should not exceed 21, and try not to use subtitles. The number of Chinese abstract words is about 250-300 (specify the purpose of the study, methods, results and conclusions). The number of keywords is about 4-6. The number of English title notional words generally does not exceed 10, and the number of English abstract notional words is generally more than 200. References use sequential coding (numbered according to the order in the text ). The name of the chart and the reference should be correspond in Chinese and English.

(3) At the bottom of the first page of the manuscript, there should be a brief introduction of the first author, including name, birth year, gender, native place, educational background, professional title, main work or research direction. If the manuscript has a funding background, please specify the fund and its number (no more than three projects) below the first author's brief introduction. It is better to attach a duplication of the funding project. The funded papers will be published first by this journal.

(4) The paper layout of this journal is Sextodecimo (A4), double-column typesetting, and the size of type area is 25.0cm × 16.7cm (21 words × 44 lines, double-column). The width of the chart should be 8cm or 8cm × 2 (double column).

(5) The figures and tables should appear with the text. The lines and notes of the illustrations are clear (can be plated and printed). The tables are in the form of 'three-line table'. The names of tables and figures are all named in Chinese and English.

(6) After receiving the manuscript, the editorial department will invite peer experts to review it, and the editorial board will decide whether to accept it. The review time of the manuscript generally takes 3-6 months. During this period, the author should not submit the manuscript to another journal. An extended period may be undertaken for individual controversial manuscripts. The author can decide to submit the manuscript to another journal or withdraw the manuscript if no results are received for more than 6 months, and please notify the editorial department by e-mail. The original manuscript will not be returned whether it is accepted or not, and thus please keep the original manuscript.

(7) The author should ensure that the manuscript does not leak state secrets, and if the problem of leakage occurs, all the responsibility should be borne by the authors. If the paper is funded by a secrecy-involved scientific research project, the author must submit a confidential approval opinion from organization.

(8) This journal has been added to 'Chinese Academic Journal (CD version)', 'China Journals Net', 'Wanfang Database Journal Net', 'Weipu Database Journal Net', 'Chinese Science & Technology Journal Database' and so on, and has been selected into 'China Science Citation Database (CSCD) Source Journals', 'Core Journals of Chinese Scientific Papers Statistics Source', 'RCCSE China Core Academic Journals', 'National Chinese Core Journals' and so on.

(9) All manuscripts are required to be submitted from the Internet.
