The Chinese Journal of Underground Space and Engineering was founded in 1981. It is the most representative and one of the earliest academic journals in the field of underground space development and utilization in China. It has currently been included in several prestigious databases and indexing services, such as the "Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD) Source Journals (Core Version)", "Overview of Chinese Core Journals", "Chinese Science and Technology Papers Statistical Source Journals", "RCCSE Chinese Core Academic Journals", and the "World Journal Cluster Index (WJCI) Report".
1. Aim and Scope
The journal publishes new ideas and achievements in the development and utilization of underground space, as well as original research papers on scientific and technological issues in underground engineering and related geotechnical engineering that are innovative, of high level, and of significant importance. It also includes review articles and informative articles that reflect the latest developments in the discipline. Submissions should have clear viewpoints, sufficient arguments, reliable data, distinct structure, and be logically coherent.

3. Submission Requirements and Notes
(1) When submitting, please log in to the journal's website at dxkjxb.cqu.edu.cn and register for online submission in the author center, setting up a username and password and filling in complete personal information. Mobile phone numbers and email addresses must be provided and ensured to be true and valid.
(2) The journal's layout is Sextodecimo (A4 size), double-column format, with a printing area of 25.0cm×16.7cm (21 characters×44 lines, double-column). Figures and tables should ideally be 8cm wide or 8cm×2 (double-column).
(3) Submissions must be in WORD document format, following the journal's paper template and writing requirements. All authors' signed copyright authorization letter (in PDF or image format) and proof of funding support must be uploaded upon submission.
(4) The names of the authors (up to 5), affiliations and city with postal codes, abstracts, and keywords must be provided in both Chinese and English. If the paper is funded by research grants or projects, the name and number of the fund (no more than 3 projects) should be provided, along with the first author's and corresponding author's names, year of birth, gender, place of origin, academic qualifications, position, main work or research direction, and email address.
(5) The paper title should be concise and accurate, not exceeding 22 characters, avoiding abbreviations, and preferably not using subtitles. The words number of abstract (Chinese) is generally between 250 and 300, including the research purpose, methods, and results. The words number of English abstract should be around 300 to 400 words (expanding on the content of the Chinese abstract), briefly introducing the research background, content, and results. The number of keywords should be between 4 and 6.
(6) The use of quantities, units, and symbols in the text should conform to international and national standards. Pay attention to correctly writing easily confused foreign letters in terms of script, case, italics, and super/subscripts. Foreign names and terms in the paper should be unified in English, not Chinese translations.
(7) Figures, tables and formulas should be numbered separately throughout the paper,. The titles of figures and tables should be provided in both Chinese and English. The table should be in the form of a three-line table, and the content should be expressed in English.
(8) The number of references cited should not be less than 10. To reflect the latest research results in the field, it is recommended to cite articles published in the journal in the last 5 years, and Chinese references should also be translated into English. For up to three authors (including three), all names should be written; for more than three, list the first three authors' names and use "et al." (in English) for the rest. The format is as follows: (a) Name. Title [J]. Journal Name, Year, Volume(Issue): Start Page–End Page; (b) Name. Book Title [M]. Place of Publication: Publisher, Year: Page Number; (c) Name. Title [C]//Editor (optional). Proceedings Name. Place of Publication: Publisher, Year: Start Page–End Page.
(9) The specific format and style of the manuscript can be directly downloaded from the "Manuscript Template" or referred to in recent issues of the journal.
4. Submission Agreement
(1) The manuscript must be unpublished in official publications in Chinese and foreign languages. This journal strictly prohibits simultaneous submissions, repeated submissions of the same content, and submissions in different languages. If any of the above situations are discovered, the manuscript will be returned, and the author's unit and relevant journals in the field of architectural science will be notified. The author's future submissions will not be accepted.
(2) The editorial department has the right to make technical and textual modifications and deletions to the submissions. If the author does not agree, please state it upon submission.
(3) The review results of the manuscript will be notified to the author within 3-6 months. During this period, the author shall not submit the manuscript elsewhere. Some manuscripts may take longer to review. If the author decides to submit to another journal or withdraw the manuscript, please notify the editorial department before proceeding. The editorial department will notify the author promptly after deciding to accept the manuscript.
(4) During the revision process of the manuscript, if the revision deadline exceeds 30 days, the editorial department will take the date the author returns the revised manuscript as the submission date; if it exceeds 30 days, the editorial department has the right to return the manuscript.
(5) Unaccepted manuscripts are generally notified by email, and the initial and final review rejections do not promise to provide review opinions.
(6) The author is responsible for the content. The editorial department has the right to make technical and textual modifications and can make substantial content modifications after obtaining the author's consent.
(7) After the paper is published, the copyright belongs to the editorial department (including online copyright).
(8) The author needs to pay a review fee and layout fee. Once the manuscript is published, the editorial department will send the author one copy of the current issue of the journal.
(9) The author must ensure that the paper does not leak state secrets. If a leak occurs, the author shall bear all responsibilities. If the paper is produced with the support of a confidential scientific research project, the author must submit a confidentiality review opinion from their unit.
